Where is a place where you can buy cheap Ice Skates???

I went Ice Skating at the Meadville Skating Rink, and it was kinda expensive but I think It would be cheaper to go and not pay for skates. If you do find a cheap place please tell me, and do you have to sharpen them alot?? Please tell me more about sharping them.

Thanks!!

Where is a place where you can buy cheap Ice Skates???
You could try some local sports stores like Olympia Sports or something would definately have ice skates.
Reply:I don't know where you live, but in Arizona there is a store called Play It Again Sports. It's basically a store of used sports equipment. The prices are super cheap, and in a lot of instances, the equipment is barely used. See if you have something like that in your area. It will save you a bundle!
Reply:Any decent pair of figure skates are going to cost around $100-$150. Cheap skates usually cause problems, and aren't very good quality. I would suggest going to your local pro shop to be sized so you can purchase skates. A Riedell Red Ribbon is a decent skate for a recreational/beginning skater. Usually you sharpen your skates about every 20 hours of skating, though every skater learns whether they like their skates sharper or duller and adjust their sharpening schedule to how sharp they like their skates. I just take my skates to my local pro shop, and I pay about $8 to get them sharpened. Make sure that the person who sharpens your skates has a lot of experience in sharpening so that they get done properly. Good luck!
Reply:Tell your Dad to go on eBay.
Reply:Its better, to buy used skates that you are sure that are good than cheap new skates. If you want used skates look for good brands (like jackson, riedell, risport, etc.) on ebay. and if you want cheap skates look in target or sporting good store.
Reply:Ebay. and any decent sport store that carries ice skates will sharpen them for you, of course for a small fee.
Reply:Good ice skates are expensive, but sometimes you can find some good deals on eBay.
