What should I do to widen my hockey skates?

I have been playing hockey for years, and just recently I have been having problems with the width of my skates. What should I do to widen them, besides getting a new pair of skates?

What should I do to widen my hockey skates?
i used to heat my skates up with a hair dryer then put them on and tie them real tight and walk around my house for a bit. repeat a couple times. it kills your feet though.

the last pair of skates i had (nikes) i remember i put them on and then put them in a bucket of warm water (i wouldnt recommend this unless you knew it was ok to do with the skates you had)
Reply:i have the smae problem im gonna have to orfder custom sized
Reply:If you have CCM skates you can take them to like a hockey giant or something and get them heated and re-formed to your feet. Because CCM is just cool like that :]], if you have a different brand i would suggest probably stuffing the skates with somethig overnight to help stretch it out. I don't know if it will work but maybe, you can always try.
Reply:walk around at home in them in bare feet once in a while.
Reply:i suggest taking them to a ice skating rink ask the professional

staff to help you or give you suggestions

hope you have success
Reply:dude. your best bet isn't heating or reforming to your feet. You can't stretch skates. Mabey a Slight tiny bit but not really noticable. You can't stretch the toe box because its plastic. Bauer/nike skates are norrow in width. I had problems with my bauers so i bought c.c.m. they are wider and feel way better. almost makes you a little better player cause yer feet arent all achey and cramped up. take my word for it dude. i use to manage a hockey only store. go with the new skaates and thank me later :) good luck!
Reply:TRY TRAINER BLADES
Reply:Any skate shop worth their salt can fix that in 5 minutes I had a problem with the width or my mission pure flys they used a device that looked like a regular shoe stretcher now they fit like a charm
Reply:Go to the rink and get them heated up so they will mold to you feet.
