When it comes to roller skates you think the ones with a hard plastic boot are uncomfortable?

I am about buy me a pair of skates..I've found out that the ones with hard plastic boots are cheaper than the ones with soft boots.Should I chose a worse quality brand with the soft boot or a well known brand's hard plastic booted one?

P.S.I don't have that much money to get the good brand's soft booted one......Which one should I chose?

P.S.S.The good brand is a Rollerblade and the less better one is Move brand.

NO! Cheaper is NOT better. Think about this...those plastic boots aren't going to form to your foot, you are going to get blisters, f' up your feet and hate them. Absolutely hate them. Then you are going to go buy more expensive boots anyhow. Save yourself the trouble and the money. Pay more for your skates.

I'm in Roller Derby and I skate on Quad skates, but the concept is the same.

One of the things I learned about getting the bare minimum on my skates is that my feet suffered. And if your feet suffer, you can't skate and you get discouraged. I also ended up tripping up on my old skates and twinging my knee pretty bad that had me out for months and in pain when I'd try to do knee drops. I later found out that the company that sold me my skates had put on plates that were too big for the boot and I was skating really awkward which may have led to my twisting my knee. I ended up paying a butt ton for my new boots that were properly fitted and I LOVE them. They feel so comfy and I am able to take corners so much better. I regret not buying the more expensive boots in the first place.

Also, if you get the chance, try and get to a skate shop and get the boots fitted. You will be so happy you did.
Reply:If you're talking inline skates, I can't really help. However, if you are talking quad skates, here is my recommendation:

If you want a really good boot, you want leather! There are many different types of boots available (e.g. Riedell, Harlick, SP Teri). I, personally, use Riedell.

Used skates are always an option when money is a concern.
Reply:Don't cheat yourself the soft leather boots are OK but you should really look into a good CHICAGO boot if you are serious about skating
