if they're white or a light color you'll probably never get them completly new looking if thats what you're going for. It is good to rotate the wheels to keep them wearing down correctly.
Reply:It's not the wheels that are the problem. Dorth wheel don;t slow down skates. Make sure your hardware is not too tight. If it is, it may be causing the wheels not to spin freely. The next thing is the bearings. I'm assuming you mean inline skates or quads. Unlike skateboards, most skate bearings are non-serviceable metal shielded bearings. If they are serviceable, they either have a rubberized metal shield, or a metal shield that has a fine wire retaining ring around the inside of the outer race. If you have crimp on bearings you will need to replace them, if they are serviceable, then they need to be cleaned and relubed. If you have never done any bearing maintenance, follow these instructions. http://www.bonesbearings.com/gap/mainten... If yiu do need to replace the bearings, most skates use the same bearings as skateboards, so you have a wide variety to chose from.
Reply:Spray the bearings with WD-40. That always makes mine go fast.
