How do you know if the ice skates are the right fit?

I recently bought recreational ice skates online because my local shop didn't have the ice skates that I wanted. When I tried them on, it felt like it was too tight because I could barely wiggle my toes. Is it supposed to be that way or did I just get the wrong size?

How do you know if the ice skates are the right fit?
they should be tight enough so your foot doesnt slip and you cant move your heels, but you should be able to wiggle your toes.

keep in mind that new skates take some time to break in, and you may get blisters or rubbing because the leather is adjusting to the shape of your foot. if one particular part keeps rubbing then they may need to be stretched (go to a pro shop for this).

if you truely feel you have the wrong size talk to the company or take them down to the local pro shop if there is one. its always better to get boots fitted for you as the sizes can differ quite a lot to normal shoe sizes.

good luck
Reply:They are suppose to be tight enough so that you have support from the skates, and your feet don't slide around, but you should have enough room to slightly move your toes, so your circulation isn't cut off. My best suggestion would be to go to your local pro shop to be sized for sure (remember every brand of skate runs differently size wise) so that you can get a pair that properly fits because skates that don't fit right can cause more problems than ones that do fit. Good luck!
Reply:u gotta have some room my skates are they hockey skates cuz if they are than just make sure your not cutting off circulation and enough support for ur ankle and stuff
Reply:They are supposed to be really tight. They should generally be two sizes smaller than ur actual shoe size. it might hurt at first, and u might even get blisters, but sooner or later you will break them in
