Okay I want a nice pair of roller skates and my budget is about $20-$40. I also want to know your most effective way you use to convince your parents to get you stuff!! Please help me!!
Where can I find a decent,cheap pair of roller skates?
Hello Im Coach Slyde for Detroit Derby Girls , Ive been buying used skates at thrift stores and garage sales for the metal plates to replace my girls plastic plates,DO NOT BUY PLASTIC PLATES. Never paid more than 5 dollars, usually have to drill and tap for adjustable toe stops which is easy for any mechanic. Then you can update boots, wheels and bearings later.
Reply:Try Ebay. Just make sure you get a leather boot and a metal plate. Plastic is terrible! If you want to convince your parents to let you skate and to buy you skates, tell them that roller skating is an extremely safe sport, and it will help you get or stay in shape. (I'm a skating coach, and that's a great line to use on parents. Best of all - IT'S TRUE!)
