What kind of skates are easier to skate in?

Inlines or the other kind? My little sister wants to learn how to rollerblade and what kind should we buy for her?

There are two types of skates: quads and inline skates (more commonly referred to as rollerblades). Quad skates have four wheels in the shape of a square...these are the traditional skates and are easier to learn in since you have a bigger surface area to stand on. Inline skates have four wheels all in a row...like an ice skate.

If your little sister wants to eventually inline skate, just start her out on those. The feel of an inline skate compared to a quad skate is completely different, so she'd have to learn all over if she started out on quads anyway.

I would recommend that you stay away from the super cheap skates at places like K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Target and go to a real sporting goods store. A quality skate will be much more comfortable and much easeir to learn in. Some of the brands out there are K2, Rollerblade and Nike. You can usually find a wide price range of skates from all these makers.

Good luck!
Reply:start off with inline rollerskates then inline rollerblades then reg. rollerblades
