Fast way do brake the ice in my new skates?
at first, do lots of knee bends, and edges to get into your boot. crossovers, and maybe some waltz jumps are a good idea too. Whenever i get new skates, my coach has me do axels and doubles the first day. Also putting them on at home an walking around will help break them in.
Reply:to brake in your skates faster try to do some deep knee bends. If the blades are not mounted on yet then it is easier. But, if they are then make sure you have your blade covers on. If they are heat moldable then have the people at the store where you buy them from heat mold them.If they are heat moldable you can use a hair dryer at home. Once you have them home do deep knee bends and streches. If you want to break in your skates really fast and they are really stiff then you can wet a pair of socks and put your skates on . I know it feels icky but it is the fastest way to brake in your skates. Belive me. Remeber to skate in small intervals when you first get them as to not get horrible blisters.

have fun skating!
Reply:Lots of crossovers and swizzles/grapevines/wiggles...to help you get some flexibility in the ankles. Also, don't tie them all the way up....don't use the top hooks until you feel you have flexibility in your ankles. Unfortunately, breaking in skates takes time. It takes having your feet in them, sweating (yeah, I know it sounds gross), and moving in them to get them to feel right for your feet. Try wearing them at home a little (with your guards on of course) to get a little more time in with them! Good luck!
Reply:walk in them with the blade guards on around the house. thats what i did and they broke in just fine.
